International best practices guidelines for species conservation

A three-day meeting of participants involved to the Activity 5 Best practices for in situ conservation was organised in Pruhonice, Czech Republic. The main aim was to discuss the progress of guidelines development, especially the practical part – decision tree. On the last day, the representatives of the state organs for nature protection of the Czech Republic were invited to discuss the rescue programs in the Czech Republic and EU.

The main output of the workshop was the finalised structure of the management guidelines and decision trees, which will be later on elaborated into published management guidelines for Gentiana luteaTaxus baccata, Dianthus gratianopolitanusArnica montana, Dracocephalum austriacum and Gentianella bohemica.
