Third call for ITC Conference Grant Applications (Grant period 1 May 2020 - 30 October 2021 - extended!)print
ITC Conference Grants are aimed at supporting PhD students and Early Career Investigators (ECI) researchers from Participating Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITC) to attend international science and technology related conferences not specifically organized by the COST Action. An applicant can be considered as being an ECI when the time that has elapsed between the award date of the applicants PhD and the date of the applicants' first involvement in the COST Action CA18201 does not exceed 8 years.
Conference Grants are exclusively reserved for PhD students, PhD candidates and ECI’s with a primary affiliation in an institution located in an ITC participating in the Action.
The applicant must make an oral/poster presentation at the conference in question and must be listed in the official event/conference programme. The main subject of the oral / poster presentation at the approved conference must be on the topic of the Action ConservePlants and must acknowledge COST (see Cost Vademecum Section 10).
The proposed conference to be attended must take place before 30 September 2020. Virtual conference fees up to a maximum of 500 EUR can be considered eligible provided all other eligibility conditions are fulfilled!
Priority will be given to oral presentations over poster presentations.
The submission for ITC conference grants should be made after the abstract has been approved by the conference organizers.
The application process
Applicants must carefully read the funding rules detailed in Section 7 of the COST Vademecum. This document is available at: http://www.cost.eu/participate.
Applicants must submit the application using an e-COST profile at https://e-services.cost.eu/and provide the details of the bank account into which a grant would be made if ITC conference application is approved and completed successfully.
The deadline: The call will be open until funds are available
Evaluations: Every 1st week of the Month (first evaluation: 01/03/2021), final decision: one week after evaluation.

Applicants must send the following documents (in a single PDF) to the members of ITC Conference Grants Commission Prof. Govianna Aronne (Giovanna.email@example.com), Dr. Aida Dervishi (firstname.lastname@example.org), Prof. Maja Lazarević (email@example.com).
- The submitted ITC application form
- A full CV, including recent publications
- A copy of the abstract or manuscript accepted
Additionally (if available):
- The most recent conference booklet or leaflet / conference program (especially if the Applicant is listed) or the confirmation of abstract acceptance
After the conference the grantee needs to send the presentation / poster that is ackowledging COST Conserve Plants. In addition the grantee has 30 day calendar days from the end of the date of the conference to upload a report to the eCost platform.
